NASA SpaceX launch on Wednesday 21.33 - first manned mission from USA since 2011

Exciting times for NASA with their first launch of astronauts from home ground since the final Space Shuttle launch on 8th July 2011 (STS-135 Atlantis). Astronauts Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken will be in the Crew Dragon capsule on top of the SpaceX Falcon rocket designed by Elon Musk. Both astronauts were selected by NASA in 2000 and both flew 2 Space Shuttle missions. Hurley is the commander of the flight named Demo-2 - the final testing of all the systems for the new era of space flight. The rocket is already on launchpad 39A at Cape Canaveral:-

The mission will take the astronauts to the International Space Station and it is yet to be determined when the return to Earth will take place. We wish them God speed and a safe journey.
